We ate here a few nights ago and we definitely had a great experience. Our server was Albert and he did an awesome job. My husband and I both had steaks, which were cooked exactly the way we ordered them. It was a pleasant experience and we will definitely be back!

Outback is outback...nothing spectacular to me. I did like the fact that the bar was available. So if you are by yourself...sit at the bar..its better than waiting. Its crazy but I have been her two days in a row...and the wait was super long. However, you can call to be placed on the list and to make a reservation. Keep that in mind. If you have never been to outback ...here is the simple overview of the restaurant. Its a steak house. so they have steak. They also service a variety of other items as wells such as seafood and salads. I am a super fan of the blooming onion. This is an onion cut and fried. Outback does such a great job with this appetizer...its like their signature thing (an amazing dipping sauce). If you have never been to outback..,.please dont leave there without getting the blooming onion...well if you like onions...and if you dont..try it anyway!!

The food here is pretty good (when the cook prepares it correctly).... We typically only have to wait around ten minutes for a table... The servers often don't come with drink refills and if you need or want something else you often have to get up and ask for your server to come to the table.... The restaurant is kept clean... And the staff is friendly... If the servers were more attentive this location would easily be 4 stars instead of three.

Excellent service here! We came during peek hours, so we were given a buzzer and the wait was 10 minutes tops. Not bad. First come, first serve tall tables in the bar area if you don't want to wait or you can sit at the bar if you want to watch some TV while you eat. A little more noisier than the regular dining areas. As soon as we sat down, our server greeted us with a big smile and brought us warm bread with butter. We chose a booth and went hungry. I went with my brother on two $25 gift cards and this is what we ordered: Aussie-tizers: Bloomin' Petals - $4 Big enough to share without committing to the whole onion with the same spicy sauce for dipping & the Short Rib Steakhouse Nachos - $6.99 Nice portion of house potato chips covered with pieces of short rib throughout, sweet BBQ sauce, melted cheese & chives. Loved this app! Super great flavors! Main Course: Outback Signature Sirloin® with salad & baked potato - $10.99 The kitchen split this for us at no extra charge and our server brought out our dinners promptly. The steak was cooked perfectly and it was super juicy! The salad was served with chunky blue cheese dressing and was simple, but delicious. And the baked potato was hot and really flavorful with butter and sour cream. Dessert: Apple Cinnamon Oblivion - $7.29 This seasonal sweet creation was a large scoop of vanilla ice cream with warm cinnamon apples, cinnamon candied pecans, soft cinnamon "croutons" topped with a delicious warm caramel sauce, whip cream & slices of strawberries. This was heavenly and one should make sure to save room for this. It's that good. To Go: Double Burger - $8.99 Two wood-fire grilled patties topped with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion and mayo on a grilled brioche bun. My brother was thinking lunch for the next day, so our server suggested this burger because she said it was yummy and warmed up the best. She had it all neatly bagged up and ready to go with a fresh side of mashed potatoes. (This chick rocks!) Overall, we both had a wonderful dining experience and the food was fantastic! Everything perfectly cooked. Prior to this visit, it's been 2 yrs. since I've been to an Outback. And when you go on a GIFTCARD---Woohoo! It's as good as it gets! 5 STARS

The service here was good and so was the Ahi Tuna and BBQ chicken salad, but the food just seemed mediocre and not worth a rating higher than 3 stars.

Went there for lunch. Pretty reasonable prices for lunch menu. Kids ate everything which is a huge compliment. I've seen it where this place is packed and waiting has to be at least an hour. Lunch-- we're seated right away. The waitress was perfect. She checked in just enough to be there when we needed her, but not so much that I felt like she was hovering. She spoke to my kids with respect. (I get them to order for themselves. Life skills and all that. A lot of waiters/waitresses will look to me for approval before writing it down.)

Found that the quality of this brand has fallen off, anyone else feel that, or maybe I caught them on a bad day?

Before my recent visit, I honestly could not tell you the last time I had eaten at Outback Steakhouse. A friend of mine picked it for her birthday dinner so I went along rather begrudgingly. We had a group of about 10 and when my friend called a few hours before we planned to come in, she was told they had 2 big parties coming in at that time so we adjusted. I was a little annoyed to have to change plans but I was glad they gave her a heads up. The place itself was clean and much more up to date (for lack of a better term) than I expected. This location has been there for as long as I can remember so I expected it to be in much worse shape than it was. Our waitress (whose name I don't remember, I'm so bad at that!) was wonderful. She was very patient, considering I was with a group that hadn't been together for a while and was trying to play catch up, therefore chatting away when she was trying to take orders. My mom had given me a coupon for a free blooming onion that had another location listed but they accepted it, no problem. My friends also ordered cheese fries and both were great. The fries were right in that sweet spot where they're crispy but not burned. For my entree I ordered the ahi tuna (I think it actually may have been an appetizer). I got the small size and it was perfect after the bread, blooming onion, and cheese fries I had sampled. It was 6 pieces of tuna over a bit of an Asian coleslaw type salad and a sauce on the side. Most of my friends ordered steak or burgers and everyone was happy. I was very pleasantly surprised with the food and service and would be happy to come back.

The service from wait staff was a joke. When ordering my steak she called me gross, for the way I like my steak down, next our food was literally thrown on our table and slid across the table, only to have her shrug her shoulders. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE EAT THERE!!!!!!!!

Lack of service. We had to ask other workers to find our waiter four times. We never got a water refill once. Thursday at 4pm wasn't very busy at all so no excuse for crappy service.

So far a couple of two has been seated before us and a couple who was here waaaayyyyyyy before us. Not cool. Messed up system ? Yeah. We were able to go for a quick shopping trip for the hour and half wait, mind you it's Friday I understand this. But still. I hate eating late cause I get tired early. But I asked for it I know ! Good food so oh yeah well.needless to say we waited for our food for almost 45 min I'd say give or take. Never ever coming without calling head. Lesson learned !!!! Good food. Long long wait.

I always get the Alice Springs Chicken here, and it's always fantastic. The service is usually good, and the management always seems to come by when I'm not having a good time to figure out what's going on. One time it took over an hour to get our entrees, so the manager gave us all of our drinks, food and dessert for free. I had the steak here once, and it definitely wasn't the best, but for what I like it's definitely a great place to eat.

It's Outback. It's a chain. Food: Our food at this particular Outback has always been good, for the most part. Once we ordered a blooming onion and it was overcooked... it didn't look burnt, but it tasted burnt. I informed the manager and it was taken off our check. Problem solved. Once my steak came out looking like a hockey puck and I had ordered it medium. I informed the manager and not only did she replace it with a smile, but it had also been removed from our check. So, other than those 2 instances, our food has always been good. Service: Here's why this restaurant got 3 stars out of me rather than 4. I always do the call-ahead seating and even on a Friday or Saturday night when they are packed, we've never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes for a table. The hostesses are great. As you just read above, management is great. Then there are the actual servers... They pretty much suck here. We've never once had excellent service here... it ranges from so-so to horrible. Getting drinks refilled here is next to impossible and the servers rarely check on us to see if we need anything. We've even had some who don't even attempt to make an effort to smile. We continue to come here because we do enjoy the food at Outback and can overlook inattentive servers. Not to sound cheap, but I don't have a problem not leaving someone a 20% tip who did nothing to earn it. Tip: Sign up online for Outback emails. They send out coupons all the time for free appetizers and desserts. At this particular location, you don't even have to print them out, you can just show a manager the coupon on your phone.

Excellent service tonight from Robby. Had the ribeye which was cooked exactly the way I ordered it. I have to say that the new loaded mashed potatoes are my current favorite side. They are really good. My server said something about it being No Worries Wednesday when I asked him why he didn't charge me for my cheesecake. Yay! All in all, it was a good night at Outback. Everything was perfect.

We took my parents to dinner to celebrate my Dad's birthday (I wish him more birthdays to come). It was a busy Friday night, like always, but thank goodness for call-ahead seating. We only waited for about 10 minutes because they're waiting for one group to leave. While we waited, Outback gave out samples (chicken quesadilla) for our trouble. As far as food, I always order the 13 oz. Ribeye steak. I paired it with a side of asparagus and caesar salad. The steak was cooked just the way I like it, medium well, but it tasted kinda bland. Not much taste to it and the asparagus was still hard. I was charged extra for just 4 stems. One picture posted here had at least 7 stems. Maybe they're running short of asparagus that night? The service was average. Our waiter came out strong and pleasant, but slowed down in between. We had to ask him to fill our drinks. Most of us were running empty. They did, however, sing "Happy Birthday" to my Dad and brought him a birthday dessert which was cool. He and my son tore it up. It must be good!

The prime rib was great! I was very surprised at how flavorful the steamed broccoli was. It was the way my favorite cook makes it (my wife). The skillet apple pie was great too. This place is not your typical Orange Park restaurant with bad service and old oil in the friers. The wait staff was very professional and the restaurant is clean inside and out. Thank you for a great date nite!

We stopped in for dinner last Saturday just before the dinner rush, as the restaurant was only about 1/3 full to our surprise. I ran back to the ladies room while my family waited for the hostess. She took our party of six (that includes one 16 month old) way back in the corner by the server doors, where 2 two top tables were shoved together unevenly to seat us. This was a ridiculously small amount of space for our party, and knowing the restaurant doesn't accept reservations, asked if we could be seated at one of the several empty *spacious* booths on the other side of the restaurant. Somewhat reluctantly she looked into re-seating us, and did so in a wonderful spacious booth where we sat for 20 minutes without any contact with service. IGNORED. As tables on either side of us were getting served. We wound up leaving without dining.

Great food, great atmosphere. But, alot to be desired on the server front. I always get the chicken, shrimp pasta. Always a great choice.

It's outback. It's never amazing but it never sucks. Service is ok but nothing out of the ordinary I never expect 5 stars when I walk into 1. It's probably been 5 or so years since I have been in 1 and probably another 5 years until I go into another 1.

I got the Outback Special. Steak was cooked to perfection (Medium rare for me!) and the side items were a great compliment to the meal. I got asparagus and a loaded baked potato. The host and the server were both very kind, accomodating, and made a good meal great.

I haven't been here in forever. Love the blooming onion. Service was great. Husband got ribs he said the were really good some of the best he's had and that's comparing to the bbq places around here too. I had the crab stuffed tilapia and mashed potatoes. Both good the fish was very tender and moist cooked all the way but not dried out.

Went on a Wed nite "after" the Outback Bowl, apparently they gave a free blooming onion away to everybody that went to the game! Place was slammed! Service was good, can't blame Jeannie, our server, but....entree came out before the salad! Hubby sent salad back! Bottom line, mgr. came over, apologized profusely, then took my soup and shrimp off the bill! So....no real complaints, they tried to make things "right"! Note to self, when parking lot is full, outside ppl are waiting, expect not so great service or go someplace else. Food was great as most Outbacks are. Will be back in Jax next month, I'll give it another try.

As a frequent patron of Outback Steak House, most of my dining experiences have been awesome, if not flawless. The most recent exception - Outback Steak House, Orange Park Location - June 8, 2013. I ordered a chicken and artichoke flat bread appetizer, which was not bad, but the flatbread itself, had a very "overcooked or burnt" taste. By the way, in this instance, "flatbread" is more like flat cracker, there was nothing bread-like about it. I notified the server and he removed it from the check. After seeing many TV and Internet advertisements for the new "Steak Flights", I was eager to try them. I requested the Steak Flights cooked to "medium", but for some reason they came out more like medium-rare. I requested the server take it back to be cooked to my desired temp and later received the same pieces of meat (I know this because I cut slashes in the center of them to check the inside) which tasted as though they were placed into a microwave and brought back to our table. The meat was very rubbery and the plate was very hot to the touch. The manager offered to remake the entire dish to my liking (Medium) once again. After waiting for my food to be remade, a second time, I finally received what we'll call "Option B". The manager waited by our table, asking me to check the steak and be sure it's to my liking. On the first cut, I discovered one of the 3 "flights" was so rare, a load of bloody juice poured on to the plate. This isn't medium, it's more medium -rare. The manager, apologetic, removed the undercooked piece of steak, and had it remade, once again. Finally, what we'll call "Option C" was right. Obviously this location has a cook unable to prepare steak to the proper temperature, per customer request. Usually we dine at the Outback on Atlantic (Regency Square) and always have a great experience. Food is always cooked as requested and the manager there is always very friendly and accommodating. If you're looking to eat at Outback I would recommend the Regency Square location. I also felt really bad for our server as he had to be the face of the cooks shortcomings. He was very apologetic for the bad experience as I reminded him that it's not his fault the food wasn't cooked right. Sadly we won't be returning to this Outback again.

Everyone's entitled to one bad day. There was a couple of things wrong with my dinner one being my blooming onion was burnt and our salads came out with our dinner. But the manager noticed our unhappiness and went the extra mile to fix everything. With that type of service I will be back to try it again Ps my steaks were cooked to perfection

I'm not sure why I keep giving this location another chance. My takeaway order is consistently wrong (last time they left out an entire order of coconut shrimp), the wait times are horrendous (I waited an hour after the scheduled pickup time because they forgot to put my order in) and the service is terrible (they seem to hide in their room instead of greeting drivers). Your best bet is to visit another location, any place other than this one, if you want accurate and timely takeout service. And forget contacting corporate. I never received a response! Outback has really gone downhill.

It was my first time eating at #OutBack Steakhouse. I was really looking forward to having a great meal. Sadly to say I was a bit disappointed. Arriving we were seated rather quickly. Yes we arrived during lunch time so we expected it to be busy, did not mind the wait. Because it was my first time there it did take me awhile to figure out what I had wanted. Once we placed the order we had no problem. I must say my plate looked really nice in appearance. Clean in appearance. But sadly ... my main coarse arrived before my salad. In fact I had to flag down a waiter to ask where my salad was. Which means my steak was going to sit there til I finish the salad. By the time I got to my main coarse lets just say I was highly disappointed... My first cut.. into my steak was rather tough... with the knife unable to cut the meat only to find out it was all FAT ... I like my med rare and we all know med rare you would expect some fight with some fat but my entire steak was just flat raw and FAT... I have pictures to prove it. While my husband ordered his outback burger and he enjoyed it. It took awhile for me to get my waitress... and when I did I showed her my steak and even she could not believe how much fat was on it... So she gladly took it to have a new one made for me. What got me puzzled was instead of going straight to the kitchen to take care of it.. she stopped at another table to take their order... Which I was like hmm so by the time my husband finishes his burger , I will be just starting mine. Sure enough that's what had happened... He was done with his burger by the time I got my redone steak. I did have another issue , which is not really a OutBack problem . I found their utensil to be rather large... for my hand at least. Now not all of this experience was bad. Their steamed broccoli actually was done just right. Just the right amount of seasoning and it was NOT over cooked. Best steamed broccoli spears I've had in a long while. My husband enjoyed the loaf of bread but I didn't , that was because I'm not a bread person. The manager did come by to ask how my food was on my second steak. They were really nice and apologetic about it. I must say once I was able to eat my steak that it was rather enjoyable. Just the right amount of seasoning not overly seasoned. Will I go back again... may be but I will make sure I was not as hungry maybe just in case this was not a fluke. I would suggest to give it a try maybe you will have better luck than me.

My husband and I went here for lunch. We had to wait about 25 minutes, but it was worth the wait. My husband had the ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes and Caesar salad. I had the seafood (grilled mahi, scallops and shrimp) with rice, seasoned vegetables and Caesar salad on the side. Everything was great!

My wife and I ate dinner here on February 23, 2013. Simply put, my salad had a paper towel in it that ended up in my mouth with a fork full of lettuce. I sent an email to corporate, but they didn't take the time to respond. That simply tells me they don't care about customers. My wife and I also had a bad experience with Hooters which I emailed also. Within 3 days I had a response and my email was forwarded to the manager of the restaurant and also the district manager.

My family and I went to the Orange Park, FL location for an early dinner on Sunday, 7/20/2014. We arrived around 3 PM or so. The hostess seated us. Our server was Jay. His service was non-existent and slow since we were seated. He initially took our drink and appetizer order. At least 10 minutes passed by before our drink order arrived, but it was incomplete. He did not bother to take our dinner entrée order at the time. He was too focused on the family seated in the booth in front of us and another family seated behind our booth. My mother had to get his attention to take our dinner order and to get the rest of the drink order. My appetizer (avocado & crab meat dip) was fine, but the kitchen skimped on the tortilla chips. I had this previously and tortilla chips with the chips were very generous, but today it was minimal. Our server was non-existent; therefore, I could not properly address this. We had to wait again to for a re-order of bread as well with no explanation. Our entrees were delivered by another server and Jay never bothered to check in on us throughout dinner to see if our food was fine, etc. He passed by our table multiple times without attention. There was no management presence on the dining floor and we couldn't flag down another server to even ask. The place was not busy during our time there. As we left, I approached the hostess to see if a manager is available. She was on the main phone and playing around with her cell phone. I heard her talking and she was discussing after work plans. I stood there for about 2-3 minutes before she finished and noticed I was waiting for her. I asked her if the general manager was available. She said no. I asked what manager was available. She said supposedly a shift manager? I asked for the general manager's name and availability. She provided first name. I asked her to hand me a business card for the general manager because she apparently was not focused on her duty/job as a hostess. I called the location from home and spoke with Brandon Carmichael. He sounded very distracted and did not properly address me on the phone at least twice even though I clearly stated my name. His inflection, tone, and demeanor on the phone clearly came across as he didn't want to deal with me and my piss poor experience and he basically tried to bribe me off by stating he'll send me something in the mail to make up for it. There was no respect or sincerity heard in his voice and he sounded agitated and tried to deflect my request to speak with the general manager for obvious reasons and somewhat rebuffed my complaints about the experience, the server Jay, and the unprofessionalism of the hostess. Moreover, our food was not that great today. We all ordered 16 ounce prime ribs cooked medium. All three came out a bit tough in terms of texture and the flavor was not there as in prior visits. My family and I have been coming to the Orange Park Outback for the past 4 to 6 weeks. Service has always been average or inconsistent, but never piss poor until today. Food quality was never an issue until today. My check totaled $81.01 and it was God damn waste on poor service and poor food quality let alone the experience. Brandon wanted to basically write off the experience. That's my perspective as a customer. I doubt the General Manager Samuel Spearl will be informed let alone take any follow action.

I have being in outback steakhouse many many times over the years but this outback at wells road is the first and last time I ever go there, first the waitress a guy named bryant came up and we ask about the the steak and unlimited shrimp deal offer asking what kind of steak and waitress pretty much give us the answer like dude is a sirloin steak kind of answer, anyway the unlimited shrimp offer us pretty much is limited, the first plate you get about 10 to 12 small to medium size shrimps but the refills are little ashtrays with 5 small shrimps that I ate them in about a minute and ready to refill again, the waitress took a long time between the shrimp refills to bring it to your table in order for you to get tired, annoyed and embarrased of asking so many times to bring in more the small little amount of shrimps, anyway I do not like restaurants that are stingy with food especially if you are paying $20per plate and is just not enough food to come out if there full, the waitress didnt even ask if I was done eating shrimps or if want it more shrimps he just offered dessert which we refuse and wrote us the bill, manager kind of saw our face of dissapointment and came up asking if everything was ok so we told her I said if we are in a unlimited shrimp deal offer they shouldnt limit the shrimp so much to 5 shrimps per refill,in order to say I got my moneys worth of food I would have to make the waitress go back and forth about 20 times to bring shrimps, anyway she listen aplogize but pretty much told us thats how it is and didnt even offer a bill discount or anything, left 5%gratuity for waitress attitude, and we writing to corp office to complaint.

I think outback provided the most consistent bang for the buck then any other restaurant. This outback is located in a very busy part of Jacksonville. The only negative here they do not sell half portion of blooming onion. I think four is a little high rating but yelp doesn't allow 3.5 stars.

Have had a better steak at this same Outback. Don't know why, opted for the rib-eye guess I should have stayed with the less expensive sirloin.
